MFC Multi Function Controller
The MFC Multi Function Controller can be combined with different sensor measuring and flow cell modules which gives it that flexibility. (External) sensors with mA signals can also be connected.
Dosing pumps, electric stork positioners and continuous actuators can be controlled directly according to the measured parameters. Up to four different control types are available for two measured parameters. Choose between ratio control, single feedback closed-loop control, combined control and setpoint trim, which is the combination control with adaptive nominal value. Five preset process applications assist in the configuration process and can also be used to select the control types.
With the DEPOLOX®5 measuring cell, that is always one of four or five possible sensors in the DEPOLOX®5 flow cell module, the parameters free chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone and potassium permanganate are measured.
Apart from this the MFC can also be combined with additional measuring modules: membrane sensors for free chlorine, total chlorine, chlorine dioxide and ozone as well as “open” sensors for Redox, fluoride, conductivity or pH.

While the flow cell module DEPOLOX®5 always contents the DEPOLOX®5 measuring cell, the VariaSens flow cell module is designed for using membrane sensors.
The selectable control types offers all possibilities of applications:
For the connection to one of the well known fieldbus systems PROFIBUS® DP, PROFINET® IO or MODBUS® TCP a fieldbus converter is available.
