Lime Slaking Systems
Lime is a natural basic material. Due to its favourable
chemical and physical properties it is suitable for water
treatment and natural environmental protection. Lime
is the cheapest and most commonly used alkali applied
in water and waste water treatment for neutralisation.
Lime is available in the form of quick lime or hydrated
lime. If quick lime is used it must be slaked on site
into a slurry.
By the Wallace & Tiernan lime slaking system series
A-758-G quick lime is transformed into a lime slurry
in a simple and efficient process. This slurry can be
diluted to prepare a lime milk of any desired strength.
The A-758-G lime slaker is employed for potable and
industrial water treatment, waste water treatment, flue
gas desulphorisation in power stations, and incinerator
gas treatment.
The slaker is a rugged, compact and economical package
system. Its capacities of quick lime are:
200 kg/h, 450 kg/h, 900 kg/h, 1800 kg/h, 3600 kg/h.
